White Shoes

My Story, Without Boundaries

White Shoes is my first poetry collection, rooted in the lived reality of Palestinians back home. The poems bear witness to life under occupation, the weight of loss and displacement, and the quiet, enduring acts of survival that exist alongside grief. Through this collection, I share not only the suffering of my people under oppression, but also my hope, imagination, and dreams for a freer and more humane world.

Written in the shadow of ongoing violence, White Shoes speaks directly to the war unfolding in Gaza, holding space for mourning, resistance, and collective memory. Since October 2023, I have recited poetry from this collection at over one hundred events, gatherings, and public spaces, using spoken word as a form of testimony and solidarity.

Through performances, community events, and collaborations, this work has helped raise over half a million pounds for humanitarian relief and grassroots efforts. White Shoes is not only a poetry book; it is an act of remembrance, a refusal to be silenced, and a commitment to turning art into action.
