I Stand, for the innocent people in need,
I stand, with my voice amplified,
I stand, for you, Palestine,
As my duty (replace duty for heart) demands.
I stand, unyielding, against any tire,
Carrying the weight that life may require,
Rooted in my convictions, firmly
I stand, for within my blood, the echoes are eternally planned.
How can I sleep, with images of bodies slain,
Played relentlessly, inflicting pain, again and again.
Silently, I cannot exist on this earth,
Witnessing my people’s lives taken in violence’s mirth.
I ask for so little, an end to their oppression
When will their humanity find true expression?
I’ll stand, never faltering, my strength unwavering,
Will you stand beside me, or seek to force me to my knees, where I’ll never recover?
